Here’s the deal. Walking thru some store last month….don’t remember which store….or maybe I could figure this out myself…..and I saw a Paslode Framing nailer….and I could swear it had the Powermaster Plus sticker on it…..but it also has a sticker that said it shot both clipped head, and full round head nails.
Am I making this up? The only powermaster plus’s I see everywhere else are clipped head….and the Paslode web site didn’t help me out. Anyone know if there’s a gun that’ll shoot both clipped and full head? I do remember thinking, what ever the price was…..it seemed high.
Maybe I just dreamed this up in a “wife shopping trip” induced walking coma! I’m thinking it may have been Sears….but I can’t be sure….so many stores…so little time! Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,
I have a couple of those nailers, like 'em lots. I remember reading that Paslode makes a full-round head nail for them. The head was off center of the shaft so it could run through a clipped-head gun. Code allows clipped nails here so I've never used the full rounds, come to think of it I haven't even noticed them at any of my suppliers. Probably a special order item if you aren't in a region that requires the use of full rounds.

*Jeff, As David notes, it uses a displaced head; imagine shifting the round head relative to the shank of the nail. I love mine; light (which is REALLY nice) and well made & finished. The allen wrench for the depth adjustment is carried in the back of the nail magazine so you don't have to hunt for that. It uses paper collated nails which are really nice as compared to that Bostitch nailer I was using that had all those little shards of plastic flying around and piercing the house wrap after sheathing a wall. Also, Paslode offers a hook for this gun. Sam
*SamDoes your Powermaster have that hok on it or is it still floating around the truck?:o)jim
*Jim, And give up the title of Master Procrastinator? :-) Sam
