We do a good many patios with brick pavers over stone dust. We use landscape fabric and brush silica sand into the joints (brick are butted tight together). Weeds still grow like crazy in the joints. I was wondering if anyone knows of weed control tricks other than chemicals etc.
Thanks!

Other than chemicals? Nah sorry.
If you can get your hands on some Arsenol, and premix it with your sand, you'll never have a problem again. This herbicide is used in "right of way" weed control around high power electric towers, firebreaks in forested areas, and along highways. Nothing can grow there for at least seven years. don't spill any.
*nope.. the grass family weeds come from above.. not below..chemicals is the only method i no..some of the creepers like bullbrier, bamboo, can invade from below....and i've seen some of the root plants that got buried below paving push up thru 4 inches of asphalt
*I use Little Bo-peep amonia with water.(50-50) And it burns them out by sucking up all the moisture from the vegitation. Lasts about a year.
*Bear, I try not to use herbicides around my pool, due to bare feet and exposure to children. I've found that boiling water works very well, and will kill the weeds for several weeks at a time. Give it a try !
