This builder says there's nothing like an in-person event where you can learn from luminaries, talk with tool and material manufacturers, and network with your peers.

Don't think so.
You could send the file to COpy Max and let them open 'em for you then print them.
Yes. An application like PDF995 will let you add several files to a batch queue and create one PDF with the click of a button.

Using Windows XP:
When I need to print multiple PDF documents I just open the folder where they are located and highlight the ones that I want to print (using the shift or control key with the left mouse button to select either a series or individual files). Once highlighted, just right click on them and you should get a list of options including "print". The computer should then print each one on its own. You can also do it this way with other types of files ie Word, Excel etc.
It sounds complicated but it is really simple.

If you have the full version of Adobe, right click with all the files highlighted and bind them together. Works great.

I've tried to print them without opening them but I've never been successful.
FYI: my default printer is pdfill, which is a free pdf writer. You can find it here:

I like pdf for several reasons. You can create pdfs from any program just like pdf995 but it doesn't have that annoying habit of opening a browser to sell a registered copy of the "free" program.
Pdfill also allows you to open a pdf document and type something into it. I find that useful for some of the biz docs that I use.
Heres a list of functions that it will do:
Merge PDF files.
Split or reorder pdf files
Encrypt
Rotate or Crop PDF pages
Reformat mulitple Pages into one page
Add Header and Footer
Add Watermark Text
Add Watermark Image
Convert images to pdf
convert pdfs to image
PDF form field operation
Convert postscript file into pdf
I'm not getting paid...I just like this free program!
I can just right-click the file and "print" is an option -- it prints without opening it.
I have Adobe Pro installed tho' -- might not work otherwise.
