I am an amateur building a bathroom. Did a lot of research on how to do my own shower pan. I used a goof proof preslope kit to help me get the slope right. I bought Sakrete Sand Mix and got it to a snowball consistency, what I failed to realize in the heat of the moment is that the mix had a lot of small pebbles / crushed rocks (3/16 ” size I would say). I kept going and finished the pre slope, it was only after re-watching installation videos that I realized that my sand mix did not behave like what I saw on videos (sand castle type consistency), I struggled to get a correct finish. Here is a picture of what it looks like now, maybe 15 hours in.

Do I need to break it off and start over with a correct mix ?
