Excellent work! I have a small pergola to build over a landing on a deck job I'm on. I've been trying to come up with something different. I like the layout of the top members. Did you half lap the 2x's?

its built with 2x6 cedar and 4x4 pressure treated posts covered with 5/4 decking
the outer joists are full lapped and main joists are 1/2 lappedcaulking is not a piece of trim
