Anyone have a detail for a pier and beam skirt?
I am doing a small carriage house on raised wood floor on piers, with an 18″ insulated, above grade crawl space.
Am trying to save money and avoid a perimeter concrete footing. Considering either steel studsset in gravel or a masonry block footer with pressure treated bottom plate.
Havent really found many detail drawings for this scenario. Is it because its a bad idea?
