Piffin –
Saw several of your posts on basement threads.
Our local concrete plant stopped carrying Thoroseal.
The product they have is Tamms.
Picked up a couple bags of Tamoseal and Akkro-7T acrylic bonding agent and they assured me it’s equivalent to ThoroSeal and Acryl-60.
Any comments ?
I already have a bag of Thoroseal and a partial bottle of the Akkro-7T.
Thanks !

Never hgeard of it but there are always regional differences. If the label on the bag describes indications and use similar to Thoro, go ahead and do it.

Thanks for the fast reply !
Based on the PDF file I just downloaded, it serves the same purpose, including waterproofing water tanks.
Even the mixing directions is the same as Acryl-60 - 1 part Akkro-7T to 3 parts water.
They are calling it a brush-on product with two coasts yielding 1/16 - 1/8" with 12 - 24 hours between coats.
The second coat doesn't require the bonding agent in the mix.
It's going on a basement utility room block wall that is dry.
(Will wet it down first.)
Thanks again.
We'll see what happens.
"The second coat doesn't require the bonding agent in the mix. " IF you do it within aboput thirty days or less.
Mist the wall with water and bonding agent mixed.

Thank-you for the tip.
We're going to apply the second coat after the recommended wait period.
This would still require misting the wall ?
The sales person says it adheres to itself well, thus the skipping of the bonding agent for the second coat.
I'm going to follow intructions to the T, which includes not over agitating when mechanically mixing the stuff.
Says not to aerate the mix.
Thanks again for replying.
