Hey all…a while back I posted a discussion to get help in what the kiddies like to say “pimping” a house…well, here are some progress reports and pics. It will look much better once paint is finished (sometime in the next few weeks), but the difference is…well..you tell me…

Chuck,
You've done a fine job! The design and execution are both great.
You had a few naysayers when you first posted your plans...but you really pulled it off.
I bet you wish you had some of that snow yesterday! Were you out in that heat?
Hey Brian! How's things??Ya know, I got really lucky yesterday...had a guy call that just HAD to have some kitchen cabs hung...and he had the a/c cranked! was able to do most of the work inside, but did have to venture out into the heat to make a few rips on the table saw...hmmm...frame an addition??? work inside??? tough choice!was thinking of you today while reading the article in Fine woodworking about 5 species of wood that aren't heard of much...and Basswood made the list!btw...here is pic of my new truck and trailer setup...the old chevy finally met her maker and I needed to upgrade...whadda ya think? got both of them on e-bay...truck out of Missouri and the trailer I had made from the factory in Indiania...knowledge without experience is just information.... Things are cruising along.Nice Ride! I'm still workin' out of the VW van. I use a trailer once every week or two (not tooled up--just for material or demo hauling).I was outside about 25% of the time yesterday. Pulled and replaced countertops near Fountain City, WI. Sticky wicked out there.Basswood is cool to work with...for something most people have never heard of.
hey, you going to JLC Live at the convention center in September? If so, I'll treat you to lunch. Maybe we can get a few other Minnesotans and have our own little "minne-tipi-break-fest"...http://www.jlclive.com

Sure, why not?Checked Frappr, and saw Waterbear and MN Musher (duh) too.
I like the improvements. The front door is sharp! Man I like the looks of that.

Thanks RW...yeah..that front door was supposed to be the "showcase"...something to catch your eye rather than all the bleak expanse that was previously there...I gotta tell ya..these homeowners are by far the best, nicest, most personable people I have ever worked with...the entire job has been so good...got 4 referals and 3 signed jobs from just their networking and having the trailer parked in the driveway for 2 weeks...the whole neighborhood is great...what a find!knowledge without experience is just information.... Removing all of the white stuff really did improve the looks of the house.
Nice transformation!
And I'll second that coment on the snow, cools ya down just looking at the picture.
Doug
That's really nice work! I think you've saved the house. Also nice to see you got rid of that nasty white stuff - snow?
