I’m ready for a major upgrade from my 10″ Delta contractors table saw. Although it has served me well for many years I’m ready to do some serious cabinet work. Delta’s Unisaw is, of course, the industry standard for good reason. I have recently been looking at a Pioneer 10″ cabinet saw at Western Tool. WT has apparently purchased Pioneer Manufacturing. Does anyone have any experience with, or even knowledge of, this cabinet saw. It looks like a real honey? Thanks!

Don't know a thing about pioneer, however when I get ready to go with a cabinet saw, I'am going to take a serious look at saw stop. Pricey but I like to be able to have all my fingers until I leave this rock. Powermatic would be another choice.
Have you looked for used equipment, lots of cabinet saws available at 1/2 the cost of new.
Never heard of the Pioneer brand.
Might want to look at the new Powermatic 2000, also the line of cabinet saws from Steel City Tool Works.
Or a Unisaw.
Delta's Unisaw is, of course, the industry standard for good reason.
For small shops maybe. The bigger shops are using sliders like Robland, Felder..........
Take a look at General, they make a real good table saw, very comparable to the UNISAW and Powermatic.

Don't forget to consider Jet. They make a good cabinet saw with the Beisemeir type fence for quite a bit less than the Powermatic. The Delta unisaw is good and I preferr the Beisemeir with it.
Check out the Old Woodworking Machines web site. There are guys there who buy and overhaul table saws as a hobby. You might well score a Unisaw or Powermatic fully restored for less money than a crappy new saw.
