Anybody have good luck with this stuff – any particular brand? I recently moved into a new house – we have a garage with an office over it separated from the house by an unheated enclosed porch. It has a bathroom in it, and the pipes run under the breezeway/enclosed porch. The heat is from a second floor heat pump which I have been keeping at 55 as the main heat is Propane and I have been using this primarily – let the kids freeze upstairs! The pipes are not too accessible – covered with rigid insulation, so I’m assuming some things, but there was a cheap extension cord leading to the space where the pipes are in, so I assumed it was for some electric pipe heating. The pipes have frozen anyway. I need to get under there and install some of that heating tape to keep them open Any brands that are good that people know of? I plan to find the thickest fibreglass pipe insulation to cover the tapes as directed – any other ideas that have worked? I may just shut off the water and abandon the bathroom for the winter after antifreezing the traps Any replies greatly appreciated Ben
