Years ago I used to have a tool that looked pretty much like a glass cutter with a match box attached to it at the top. You used to wheel/roll this thing along a set of plans and it would measure the the linerar feet based on whatever scale you had it set for.
So now I’m wondering what’s the thing called and does anybody have a idea of where I can pick one up (online)?

Here are several. Both simple mechanical ones, digital ones, and one for computer input.

Yup Calculated Industries. I should have figured or known that. That's the ticket. I feel like a moron now not remembering that (but it isn't the first time that has happened,...well maybe the first time today) . Thanks again.
Ya know that jolt to my memory has me thinking I might even know where my old one is. I still have a large drafting table and all the old drafting supplies tucked away down in a corner of the basement. I'll give a look there before I go out and buy a new one.
