have a bathroom with plaster walls, put cement backerboard in shower area the edge of the cbb joins the edge of the existing plaster wall what is the best material to use to patch this joint, with fiberglas tape also. thanks.

since it's an area that won't get wet, joint compound (especially Durabond) will work just fine.
BTW, a couple of periods to denote end of sentence would have made that an easier read.
