Someone forwarded this email to me – it was a craigslist ad in my area. The headline said “WILL BEAT ANY PRICE”. I was wondering if Plaxico Burress had found a new way to shoot himself in the foot?

I'm missing the punchline.
I also offer all those services. I don't advertise to beat anyones prices, but what ever brings them through the door. Before you cry that they can't possible be licensed to do all that they claim, neither am I.
My subconctractors however, are.
I am missing the shooting in the foot? Vic

Do they do background checks on nail guns for his new line of work?
Or Tim the Tool Man version of the NRA's Eddie the Eagle for safety?
I'm missing the punchline.
shoot yourself in the foot
Meaning: If you shoot youself in the foot, you harm yourself in some way by doing something stupid or making a silly mistake. (from EnglishClub.com)
Plaxico Burress = man who shoots self in foot not only literally, but figuratively, by endangering his health, his career and income, and his freedom by committing a foolish illegal act.
"WILL BEAT ANY PRICE" on all those categories = surefire way of harming self by doing something stupid or making a silly mistake.
hence, man advertising to beat any price without figuring the legitimate cost to do the work is foolish, like man who carries illegal concealed loaded weapon in sweat pants and shoots himself with it. Both foolish.

what I always marvel at is how some people fall for the low price "guarantees". some are legit, especially in retail, but most are completely meaningless.
I've got a buddy who won't stop bragging about the low-E windows he got "on sale for 80% off..." 80% off? What on earth could that even mean? He's convinced he's the world's smartest buyer, though.
perception is reality . . .Real trucks dont have sparkplugs
The guy across the street from me owns a tree service. Nice guy, does great work, reasonable prices, etc. I love the ads he always runs in the paper: "This week only, 25% off!" The ads run pretty much year round. When I have used his services, it is always at a flat rate for the day- and the price hasn't changed for 3 years.Today I saw a new ad from him: "Holiday Special- 25% off!" He laughs when I ask about it, says it brings in the customers....=====Zippy=====
i know, i know, people eat it up. i don't think i could keep a straight face...

i learned that very early when my mom would say "i got this for 50% off" my dad would always answer with.... 50% off of what?
my granddad tought me the next lesson... when an old guy was selling me steel at "cost" then i found it cheaper... i told the old guy that he needs to be buy'n his steel where i just got some... relay'n this story to my grand dad... he burst my bubble... "son the only cost you are buy'n at is... your cost..."
