Please Help Me Find An Old Article
At least 10 years ago someone was kind enough to send to me by email 2 pages of an article by Mark White. The title was “Truss Frame Construction………a simple building method especially suited to the owner-builder”. Although I have saved this email it is incomplete and would very much appreciate it if anyone who is familiar with this article could send the whole thing to me at [email protected]. The subject was a small cabin project in Alaska framed exclusively using trusses that included roof rafters, outward-sloping walls and floor joists, all in one truss assembly. If I am so fortunate to find someone here who might have that article I am thanking you in advance! I have attached the first page to hopefully jog your memory. Regards-Lee

There's a wonderful tool called Google.

Hi, I have the book in which this articel is included. The book is called, 'Framing Roofs', The Best of Fine Homebuilding, from Taunton Press. I can easily scan the article and email to you if you are still interested.
Just let me know. It is a great article. I have a young guy who is doing work experience with me ( I am an architect) and he is building a scale model of this truss frame house.
Cheers,
Paul
Wouldn't that violate copywrite ethics? Taunton spent money to publish that article. Now you are offering to copy it and give it to someone who might otherwise pay Taunton for it?
It might be a widespread practice. That doesn't make it right. Have some standards. Set an example.
Hey Jim, I haven't seen you on this site for a while. Calvin has done all he can to keep it working, but it's about dead now, except for spammers. It sure used to be lively, I know I spent a good bit of time here.
Hi Mark - I take a peek in every now and then, but it seems pretty slow. Guess folks found other stuff to do.
Yeah, did you see that neat cat video on Youtube?
This one?
