A good friend of mine asked me to help her find the cause of wet spots that keep popping up on her carpet. They seem to appear with no pattern. Weather, a. or heat use water use or anything else I can think of cause them to come up. I went under her house and looked in the area where they come up, there was no pipes or duct in the area, and even when the spots are wet the underside is completely dry. She had new carpet installed a little more than a year ago, and this has been going on for about 5 oms. The spots are always in the same two places and are about 6″ in diameter.
The house is a modular home and their is ample insulation under the house. I would greatly appreciate any advice on this problem. I am guessing that it is condensation I’ve considered drilling a couple of tiny weep holes where the spots appear. Please tell me what you think.
