Hi,
I have a leak from my pressure adjusting valve. This is the valve that is right above the main shut out valve (coming from the street)
The valve is a Brinkman and it is leaking right at the white knurled knob that has a flat screw head that you turn to increase or decrease the pressure to the house
Pipe is 1″.
My questions are:
1- Do I have to replace this valve? Or are there any other ways to resolve this?
2- Currently, the valve body has screw fittings at each end (input/output) Each one of these threaded ends is connected to a short section of pipe that is sweated with a connector to the main line. Can I get a replacement valve with sweat connections? It doesn’t look like it is possible to unscrew the fitting off and I rather sweat it.
3- I can’t recall the recommended pipe thickness (if I replace the surrounding pipe) K? M?
Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
Eug
