All-
Hopefully this is a quick one, because I’ve got the electrician coming tomorrow at 1pm. (I’ve also got a call in to PM.) My question is this: What is the recommended current rating for a line to run the PM66 5hp single phase tablesaw?
I’ve called three dealers, and I’ve gotten the following answers:
1. 15A on startup (use a 20A breaker)
2. 21A on startup (use a 30A breaker)
3. 28A running, ~70A startup (use 70-90A breaker)
I’m also told that PM tools (at least the PM66 and 15″ planer) don’t come with power cords, so I can pick the type. Is that correct?
So, anyone with this saw or similar, what is your recommendation? Note: I’m running this into my garage and haven’t bought the saw yet. The electrician caught me off gaurd being able to do it tomorrow…
I haven’t seen this topic come up here, though some similar (Please point me if I missed it….)
Thanks for any quick replies-
