David, I'd say NO. The oils sold for your gun are designed to do at least three things: (1) lubrucate the gun (2) provide a lubrication which will not destroy the seals and O-rings, and (3) combat the effects of moisture carried through the air supply lines. Bostich, I believe, even makes a special oil for extremely cold conditions.

*Ditto to steves comment on gun oil... buy the type recommended by the guy who services you guns... or you will be there more often than you are now... even though it costs $5 for a half a pint... its specially designed for nail guns
