Looking for information on nailers to install beveled siding and exterior trim. Also would like to know about the type of nails available for such. Thanks.

> Ron. I have an Hitachi NA45 (? I believe that's the model#) $399.99 and it shoots stainless 6d nails. These are the only nails you want to use on clapboard siding. The box costs about 120.00. There is an attachment that fits on the end of the gun where the nail comes out to prevent marring the clapboard, this costs about $25-35. Is the attachment worth it? I've never used the gun without it. This gun also shoots 6d galvy nails for doing shingling. This costs about $60.00. Althought this particular gun is only good for shooting these nails, it is worth its weight in gold. If you plan on doing a lot of siding get a siding gun, whether or not its the Hitachi the pneumatic gun is the way to go.
