My wife is not happy about a bluish stain showing up on our plastic tub, where the water drips a bit. I installed a new water heater from Sears a couple of years ago, that’s got a polybutylene tank (I got tired of replacing the metal ones every few years – thanks to acid water). My plumbing is all polybutylene (no leaks in 12 years), except for a few copper and brass fittings. The stain is not showing up anywhere else, so the hot water is the suspect.
Any ideas?
