Now that I got your attention…
Anybody know what I should re-parge my inground pool with?
Its an old block construction in ground in need of a face lift. I’ve removed the loose parge but I’m sure just any mortar won’t suffice.
Thanks

I did that once for a motel. I found MARLITE is what is suggested. Some kinda marble dust and cement mix. I think I got it from a pool builder.
Duane exactly right. I used that before I had my pool marble dusted..which reminds me...gotta go clean it out.I save the worst job for the end of the week and the hottest day...figures : )

Wow Andy! the place looks fantastic...but I miss Boss Hog bobbin' in the drink<G> Someone's got it in for me, they're planting stories in the press
Whoever it is I wish they'd cut it out but when they will I can only guess.
They say I shot a man named Gray and took his wife to Italy,
She inherited a million bucks and when she died it came to me.
I can't help it if I'm lucky.
Thanks Bucky...yeh..its even surprised me and I did it...lol. I'll post the virtual tour of the completed project here that we're getting done for the RE listing. It looks ions better than when everyone was here.
I think of Boss all the time sitting out there. I may just have to kill him for leaving me with that in my head. I had other visions in mind...go figga...lol

BTW...I saw your friends ad in a Carmel directory the other day. I forget her name off hand but that photographer chick. We'll be looking at/in Carmel and Carmel Valley around the 18th and 19th of August to see what we think.
If I think of anywhere else that interests me I'll check with ypu first to see who you know there..LOL

Sphere's talking about the right stuff.
I'm going a different direction, tile for my pool. Real cheap if you aren't fussy about the color. Last truckload cost a quarter/12" tile, surplus from a busy tile setter who always buys an extra box or two. Wants me to come back in Dec. for another pallet.
A pool guy clued me in to the possibilities.

You should only see some of this work this tile setters who's name I forget does. He posts in John Bridges Forum. He does mosaics in pools that will literally blow you out of the water..Totally sick stuff. Absolutly incredable! He "has to be" using a computer to figure where all the tiles go I'm guessing. Really intricate and complicated designs.
Museum quality work. I think each job takes him months.

Mosiacs are fascinating. Age-old and enduring well. If the name comes to you, give a yell please. Unlikely I'd bother with that much time, but inspiration is always good. I've got ~4000 sq ft of tile stashed. And a table awaiting DW to finalize the mosaic.
Had a request to talk about an immense pool awhile back in a 20k ft house. Maybe not. Your guy coulda had fun. Who knows, maybe he did. Very deep pockets.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
I'm getting ready to build a tile counter outside for gardening (Yes dear, yes dear, it will get done this summer). What are you planning to use for a substrate for your table?
CDX ply, I've got a lot of it. The table'll flex enough that I'll have to be careful. That base is self-leveling, truck springs that take up unevenness. Heavy sucker.
DW about keeled over when one of her clients wanted to buy it. I figured where there's one ... Probably could scrounge up another steel wheel. Truck springs, I've got.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
