i would like to build a u shaped railing on my flat roof addition. the newelpost will be about 10 inches square , 42 inches high, and the railing height about 36 inches. the span between post only about 6 ft, i can’t find any company that will make a pvc post that size. i would like to have a recessed or raised panel newelpost. could i make it out 3/4″ exterior mdf or azek boards. i would prefer using mdf with tidebond #3 waterproof glue. any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. thanks
