I’m not sure if this is a code or not. However, after looking at several gabled portico roofs in the area, they all seem to be tiled or sloped away from the house sidewall. Most appear to be around an inch or two over 6ft. Is this intentional to prevent water from dripping back towards the house? I was planning on having a level ridge and build a small deverter near the house’s side wall. Does this seem reasonable?
