I am looking for a framer that cuts valleys and hips in his sleep, and runs stairs while yawning. He can even nap in his truck as long as he bids the job but he must be somewhat competetive.
Thank you,

Do you know Leonard Knight?

SamT I m not familiar with Mr. Knight. I will allways take an old timer, over a rookie. I look foreward to developing long term relationships with all my subs. I am also organized enough to never or rarely allow for any misunderstandings. All the parts and pieces of the project and labor cost are ball parked, atleast. But all the information gets moved around. I will never allow any employee or sub ever to work on my projects and be under paid, for work they accomplish. I know how it felt for me to sub for a "grinder" and it will never happen on my jobs. Thank you for any leads. Work with many different framers. Maybe I can give you some help.
I hope to move to the Portland area sometime early next year. If you are looking for a good, craftsmanship-oriented framer at that time, we could work something out. I am presently a crew supervisor/lead/layout type person on a large project. I will soon take over the finish carpentry as the foreman. Level, plumb, and square is the only way I work. My work is as accurate as the material and the measuring tools will allow. I have spent the last six months building the basement and first floor deck on some really bad foundations and making something good on top of something bad. A good building relationship is not a thing to rush into.
