possible to trim back Eldorado stone veneer?
Hi Folks –
Building a home remotely (i.e. 4 timezones away in a remote part of the NW) and had some stone accent columns put at some of the building corners. I didn’t specify exact dimensions (stupid me!) and the guy installing it put it right up flush against the window frame. Would look much better if it were back about 8″ or so.
(I think pic attached)
So question is can I just take a stone saw to it and trim it back 8″ or so from the window and fill in w. siding, or do I have to take the whole thing down and start over?
Thanks!
Jim

Surface treatment will be lost on cut side so you'll have to break off the returns and glue them back on, then regrout. Gonna take a lot of time and look terrible when done.
