We are considering a post-frame / pole barn build for our next home and part of that build would include a basement using wet-set brackets for the posts…which leads me to my question…
If you have the vertical posts set atop the concrete basement walls you are obviously going to have places where the vertical post is blocking the placement of the floor truss / joist…so what is the solution here? I have seen a few tours of pole barn homes online that do have basements but no one ever addresses these type of build issues and I’m hoping it is a simple solution that I just have not thought of.
I’d appreciate any thoughts and knowledge in this area.
Thanks!

Off-layout floor trusses, one on each side of the post.
Planning. You can also specify the basement walls to be thicker.
Another possible solution is a joist hanger mounted to the post
Heck, you could even specify joist hangers that embed in the basement walls, which would avoid any interference with first floor posts.
it all depends.
