I’ve got some pics of a siding job I want to post but every time I post here, they are huge. how do I shrink them before posting them? By the way, I have a mac. No busting on me please, I happen to like it a lot. Good for folks who can’t really navigate the computer world well.

Try downloading http://www.irfanview.com its easy to use, a lot of people on here use it.
I dont know anything about Mac other then their hamburgers taste like shid.
Irfanview is a free software that will enable you to resize/enhance pictures, easy to use and did I mention its free.

I'm a little surprised the Mac doesn't have a built-in re-size program, since graphics is supposed to be its strong suit.

There probably is, you just have to find it. Certainly you can resize images with Microsoft Paint on Windoze.

I use Graphic Convertor on my Macs for photo downsizing and photo editing. It is a free download and is great:
