I am a 40 yr. old Project manager with a small Custom Homebuilder / Remodeler. I was told yesterday that despite their pleasure with me and the work I am doing, there workload has dried up and does not look real promising after the project I am finishing now. I am seeking employment in the same field and would like to talk with anyone who needs a person with 15 years of construction experience.
To give you a little background on myself, I started as a carpenter’s assistant with a small residential / commercial remodeler after college. I enjoyed the work, moved up to lead carpenter and opened my own business in 1992. I worked for myself for seven years in both residential and commercial remodeling before moving on to work with a large commercial interiors company. I went from interiors to base building working on a 500 million dollar project before deciding to return to my real love, residential custom homes and remodeling.
I have hands on experience in all facets of construction, good computer skills and most importantly excellent people skills. My even demeanor has been a real asset in dealing with difficult clients and subs alike. I know how to get a job done and how to watch the budget and schedule to deliver on time and on budget.
