   You would be looking at extra un necessary expenses by going that route,(example)

   You would hire some one to build them of site ...ok now he has to transport them to the job with heavy duty vehicle  possibly a boom truck or both . Now you have just added two steps to the job and your about to add a third one because now they have to boom each dormer up to the roof and hopefully they will fit the openings that needed to be framed ahead of time, when a couple framers would normally frame in new dormers  right in place in a short amount of time per each dormer.I am not trying to be a wise guy i`m just pointing out some additional steps that you need to be aware of.
