yesterday at JLC-Live, i was talking to the James Hardie rep… and he mentioned that they had a Preferred Contractor network… always interested in marketing , we talked some more about it..
I mentioned that I was enrolled in Certainteed’s program… and he said that I wouldn’t be eligible then.. as they didn’t want to generate leads and then lose the sale to the competition… fair enough..
anyways , i took the brochure for the program and i was just looking it over… the enrollment is : ” name & address” plus a check for $750…. hah, hah, hah…
with Certainteed at least you have to take a written multiple choice test..
so, bottom line.. anyone in the Hardie Preferred Remodeler Program ?
sounds a little bit absurd to me..
but, hey, whadda i no ?

So you ( a qualified builder with experience and know-how)can't be certified but any yahoo with 750$ he doesn't need can be?
Hey Mike, send me just 500$ and I'll make you certified (or certifiable) in any field you want!
