My brother sided his new house with red cedar shingles. He did not put any type of preserver or stain, sealer ect. He now wants to use some kind of preserver that he can brush on. They have been on about a year and are starting to get rough in places. I read about the products mentioned last week on breaktime. But wasn’t sure if they were good after the installation is done.
