Sorry if this has been discussed before. Made a great copper cap for an octagonal roof section. Would like to keep the copper shiny. What would you suggest?
thanks
sam

never used it on copper, just cars. BUT I have seen it run up the flag pole here many, many times.
I have been installing copper roofing all spring and summer..we dont do anything to them. In your case, i am certain a wash with Penetrol and spray a few coats of clear..yer all set. Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Sphere has a good idea. Make sure that everything is covered with the clear coat. Any part that you miss will discolor. Luck.
Sphere's right. Here it is a couple yrs later. I like the discoloration, which was on it when I clear coated it, courtesy of sitting here outside before installation. The siding is uncoated. Make sure it's clean before you spray.
PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
