Prestaining cedar shingles

I am instaling cedar shingles for siding and I am looking for a method of prestaining. If you have any ideas please reply.

    In a 5 gallon bucket of stain/sealer dip each shingle and set aside to dry. Takes a while, but you get an even coat on both front and back.
