What do you guys do to keep snow from sticking to your snow shovels? I have two shovels with the non-stick coating. I guess if I were cooking eggs or something like that on the shovel, the non stick coating might be great, but snow sticks like nobody’s business. I’ve been using Pam this morning, but it doesn’t last too long. Any ideas?

I spray silicone on mine and keep the shovel outside so it's not warm causing snow to melt and then freeze forming a coat that snow sticks to.
I also spray silicone and keep it outdoors. Seems to work great on my alum. grain shovel and snow blower hood/chute.

There's some snow, at just the wrong temperature, that's pretty hopeless. I find the plastic shovels work a little better, though, in terms of not sticking.
The best way I have found to keep snow from sticking to my shovel, is to keep the shovel in a nice dry warm garage. Even a cold shed will keep snow off a snow shovel.
Other than that, a generous coating of silicone spray.

Well back in the days when I was "hip deep" in all that snow stuff. I actually used to keep a good coat of automotive wax (like turtle wax) on the shovels, and then spot treat them with silicone as many others have suggested.
But I'll have to agree with NickNukem's suggestion... Four years and counting and not a spot of snow on my shovel yet... It makes a good dustpan for sweeping the garage floor though...
try a little glyzerine or antifreeze coating
Coming from a guy that grew up in snow country and have shovel some 36" dumps in my day. When you shovel a lot, you know how to shovel w/out snow sticking.
You bring the shovel inside, clean any dirt off, get it warm/hot and apply a coating of parafin to it. Let it dry. Set it outside protected from moisture (e.g. on the porch). Always keep the shovel cold. The snow ... any snow will flow off it like snot. Makes shoveling a breeze (although not more so than not doing it).
I keep the shovel warm and dry and spray with pam while its dry. I mostly use plastic shovel and its mostly for the deck and clean up around the garage, the rest of the driveway is plowed.
Dring the recent big snowstorm on the east coast (I live in Annapolis), having no silicone spray I used PAM and it worked great although the shovel did need recoating about every 30 minutes.

Snow sticking to shovel? Never seen that. Just flop it over and bang it it comes right off. Then right back at it..
Of course I use a snowblower as much as I can.
Never seen that ... just flip it over an bang it ... it comes right off. That may be true, but if you shovel a lot, that gets old fast... almost like shoveling twice. I've done it all kinds of ways and banging off stuck snow is a royal pain in the keister. You obviously haven't shoveled much snow in your day. Oh that's right you use a snowblower the most.
