I have recently installed some replacement windows and wish to take advantage of having the walls open. Can any of you suggest how best to prewire for window sensors? I have 2 casement and one large slider vinyl windows as well as a set of wood french doors. My preference is to hardwire sensors as opposed to wireless and battery method. Our existing alarm panel is also rather old and limited in it’s abilities and I would like to upgrade here as well. Which brands or models do you folks recommend? Do you have any sources for these supplies? Thanks in advance. -Bill

A friend who installed replacement casements retrofitted magnetic triggers from Radio Shack and ran the wires for future hardwire connection.
You may be able to get some ideas by browsing around in their catalog even if you end up doing business elsewhere.
