I have plumbed since 1978. I don’t claim to be a plumber as we do a lot of stuff but I have probably plumbed more than any other trade. When I was in the early years Price-Pfister was cheap junk. A lot of plastic even before plastic was popular.
In the last year I have had 2 sales people tell me how they are much better than Moen and Delta, better cartridge, better finish etc. I have looked at them and while they seem to not be all plastic anymore they are also not any heavier than the Moen line I use. But…….always a butt somewhere, they are cheaper.
We do a lot of middle class bathrooms and use builder grade or a level hirer in faucets. If I can save money and still put a product in that will give people 10-15 years of reliable service followed by the ablility to buy a cartridge and rebuild it I would do so. If not, or unsure I would stand pat. So, anyone know more about it than me? Probably most. DanT

I bought PP faucets and shower valves for my kid's bathrooms, probably should have bought high-end stuff considering how brutal they are. It seems to hold up fine for me, though. We've has a PP faucet in our bathroom for eight years, it's been great, no problems, easy operation, only problem seems to be that they discontinue stuff about like carmakers change styles, and I couldn't find the same style again for our new house.
I just unpacked my high-end Moen Aberdeen faucet for my kitchen, and realized that a large portion of it is plastic. Not nickel finished brass, which I expected, but freakin' nickel-colored plastic. Hope it lasts a couple years.
