I see a problem in your picture 5. the blocks are sideways, an accident waiting to happen, I,m surprise the bldg has not fell in yet.. 2+3=7
There are lots of scary things about the cabins on the island. The way the block are secured to the granite is questionable at best.

You might be surprized to know how often that happens .
When I was inspecting I saw it numerous times and always a block layers fault of assumably not knowing ? I dunno , I just turned them down. Then , the GC would say , theres a problem?

I'm thinking you need to bring the railing up to code and increase the size of the gable vent, unless youv'e got continious ridge vent.
I'll be over to help if you'll send directions. Put some beer on ice, and check the fuel in the boat tanks....I'll bring my own rods.
LOL. The railing is only a problem after drinking all the Canadian beer. You're welcome anytime. It's 13 hrs north of Pittsburgh, so it's a pretty long haul from Texas.

I traveled form Memphis, TN to Canada when I was just out of high school in a Datsun 2000....two seater sports car. Long ride in the little car, but worth it.
Beautiful, we were in a small fishing cabin on a lake (can not remenber the name / do not remember a lot during those days) but I do remember you could see the bottom and abundance of fish in 15 feet of water.
Arkansas has some lakes like that......and it warm enough to waterski.
We went tubing on the Guadalupe near Austin, Texas. The water was as clear as drinking water. I drifted down to the bottom in about 15 feet of water at one point and floated over a nest of catfish. I could have reached out and touched them.
You probably got pop-ups blocked.
If its blocked in Windows, go to: Tools --> Pop-up Blocker --> Turn off popup blocker
If its in your anti-virus/firewall/security suite (Mcaffee, Norton, etc), you're on your own to find it.
