Promoting Women in Construction

BossHog | Posted in General Discussion on December 4, 2003 11:43am

Just thought y’all would be interested in seeing the calendars we give away to our customers this time of year.

http://adalternatives.norwood.com/product.jsp?id=8995

Being the progressive minded company that we are, we wanted to give out soemthing that would work towards the greater good of mankind. So these calendars are designed to promote women in the construction industry.

We hope your company will also choose to promote such a high moral cause.

Does the information superhighway have any rest stops?

Notice Ms. December's tape measure? Reads 10" (She's on the stair case, not on the main calendar).

    Boss,

      please send me a calendar,

I'll send you one of our,....er equipment!

I'd like to promote such women to the construction trades but my laywers talk about the anti pimping laws and such.

Seriously how can you do that?  I mean even Snap -On woosed out and stopped putting out calendars like that.

I'm afraid I can't send you one - They're pretty stingy with them.

I have probably 20+ customers that want one, and they only gave me 4 to hand out.Q: Why do men find it difficult to make eye contact with women? A: Breasts don't have eyes.

Too bad the politically correct types forced almost everyone to stop using them.. It's been a very long time since I've seen a real cheesecake calander. thanks for sharing..

Those pics were pretty mild compared to what reportedly was featured in the Abercrombie and Fitch Christmas catalogue.  Unfortunately, I never find out about these things until after they get pulled off the shelves...

Such a shame, not a hard hat or safety glasses anywhere to be found......

      Such a shame, not a hard .....

Well, not a HAT anyway!A shortcut is the longest distance between two points.

"2002? These calanders are out of date."

I guess they don't want to show pics of the calendar they're currently marketing.

But the pics are more or less the same from year to year - They show underprivledged girls working in construction. Girls that can't afford to buy proper work clothing....A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while, he knows something.

My wife wanted to stop those types of calenders being sent to her customers. She thinks it exploits women what ever she would have against that . :} She stopped ordering them and just ordered the wildlife ones. There was one big rush order once the customers found out they werent going to get a calender with girls .  She was forced to accomadate those long time money spending customers.   True story.

B Hog it looks to me like that calender is sendingthe wrong image. i mean like one guy said so safety glasses and I noticed no tool belts either. I mean to me it looks like they were goofing off. I'd have to take them in the office close the door and give them a er ..motivational speech or something..:>)
