This is how I spent last Saturday at a “farm safety day camp” for kids. One of the pictures turned out so well I wanted to share it with you folks.
That’s a dummy wrapped around a PTO shaft behind my tractor. (I’m the dummy on the tractor) We did this to show kids how dangerous PTO shafts and augers can be.
The dummy started out leaning against one of the back tires. We tied a piece of twine around the dummy’s leg and tied the other end to the PTO shaft, then started the tractor and PTO.
Really made an impression on the kids. Didn’t do much for the dummy, though. (But he didn’t complain)
