I'm going to bump up this notice for a New Auction at Quittintime because I think this is a good opportunity to perhaps snag a good bosch recip. saw.

Does this mean G8 is finally retiring?
I don't think so. In the real world it means he's got an extra new tool and has seen fit to donate it. While most of us have only one of everything, and if we had two we probably would want to hang onto it just in case. His generosity is right up there with most of our donated auction items.
In the early days of the auctions we received goods from companies that could certainly appreciate the good will of their gestures in future sales. No problems with that, a sort of direct advertising.
Lately we've been getting goods from individuals. Now that is being just plain old nice. Gotta love that. When the items get redonated-that's double nice.
We have been really lucky with the help of our friends.
Now, if there'd just be some groundswell of posts, it'd be something instead of a place where the outcasts and "forum down" folks go when necessary. I haven't upped the bid. I keep thinking that with me putting up the donated item for bid. Then handling the bidding. And then of course collecting............really might be a bit tenuous to some. Afterall, who's to say I collected from myself.
On the flip side, when the coffers were or are bare, I make sure the costs get paid.
