I heard an ad on the radio today for an outfit that does surveys on the builders of new house and then sells that to potential clients.
They started in Kansas City area and don’t know if they cover any others yet.

And I saw a guy on JLCONLINE that claimed that there where millions of clients out there just waiting to ripe of contractors.
He claims to have 10,000 cleints rated in the Columbus OH area.

But going through some of the links make you ask questions about his “program”. For example under Repair Trick and Tips it mention CCA, but no mention of the problems with the newer PT lumber. It written for homeowners and not contractors.
And he has some apparent dislike of the BBB and links to this article http://www.edu-usa.com/bbb_scam.html
Which is like many web rant pages. Full of rant, but no real clear idea of what the problem is.
And then there is Angie’s list.
It is in about 20 cities.
“Angie’s List is a membership-based organization that collects ratings on more than 250 local services from consumers just like you.”
