Need advice. AC installers are also installing bathroom vents. Looks like they ran the bathroom vents to a ridge vent in my roof. Is this okay?

would be better if the vent actually ended outside the roof. (sealed inside the attic)
Also looks like they used nails to secure the vent to the bottom of the roof deck. could be ok, but will depend on the thickness of the roof deck.
They repurposed an attic vent into a bathroom vent (two actually)
would need to consider the other attic venting to determine if loss of this vent for attic ventilation will make the amount fall below required amounts.
the venting is also not insulated. concern here is that when the attic is cold, moisture in the air (like when you take a shower, but at other times as well) is more likely to condense on the inside of the vent pipe, and if enough, cause issues as it drains out of the pipe.
If you have a permit, see what the inspector says.
If you do not have a permit, get one, and then see what the inspector says.
Pretty much what unclemike said. Doesn't look like that's a ridge vent but maybe an old turbine vent converted previously to some other type of roof vent. I think you are correct to be suspicious. May be ok, may not.
Good idea. Ill have it inspected. Thank you!
