I’m interested in building a shed similar to the Saltbox Potting Shed described in “Building A Shed” by Joseph Truini. On page 117 of this book, Joseph has a drawing showing a top view of the corner of the building, and how the 1 X 3 spacer strips are attached so that the overlapping corners result in no gaps. My problem with this illustration and the associated picture on the bottom left of the same page is that the illustration shows the 1 X 3 being installed so that they are overlapping, and the picture shows the 1 X 3 being placed so that it’s even with the sheathing, or wall end. I think the overlapping 1 X 3 is the way to go, but I’m not sure. Can someone tell me the best way?
Thanks,
Mike D.
