Question: Is this sketch of a floorplan (for a fictional story) a livable and realistic home?
So, this question is generally aimed at people who have built houses.
In-universe, this house was partially built but went unfinished. It’s still being occupied though.
The reason there are no distinguished rooms in the upper floor is because in-universe this floor was basically destroyed in a storm and never fully rebuilt, just brought to a state where the weather wouldn’t leak in through its floors and then abandoned, so it’s just sitting on top of the ground floor as a skeleton.
The basement has nothing in it because honestly I don’t really know what would go there ;v;
For bare essentials in a house (heating, electricity, plumbing, insulation), what are things to keep in mind? Thanks!
