   Glad I wasn't in the middle of a swig o' coffee when I saw that!

   Guffaw!

   What if an equal ado were made about the ornaments of style in literature, and the architects of our bibles spent as much time about their cornices as the architects of our churches do? So are made the belles-lettres  and the beaux-arts  and their professors. Much it concerns a man, forsooth, how a few sticks are slanted over him or under him, and what colors are daubed upon his box.

   time to grab a sawzall and make a bunch of 6' ladders! they are really handy for siding  etc. larry

   hand me the chainsaw, i need to trim the casing just a hair.

   ya but it still makes an ok 14 ft ladder for shed roofs on uneven ground.

   I just had a thought...just curious...if you secured an appropriate sized block of wood to the bottom corner that were furthest out would that make the ladder safe???? Even if it wasn't totally extended?
