A month ago I poured 1 1/2 inches of gypcrete over plastic tubing, stapled to a 3/4 inch plywood subfloor.
The floor has been warm for the month.
The gypcrete devepoled hairline cracks, in line with the tubing (more or less).
It still cracks--- or at least sounds like it!
I assume it is now just expansion/contraction noise and no longer noise/cracking due to drying of the gypcrete??
To: Owners of gypcrete floors--- do they continue to go POP!!!, and for how long?!
Thanks very much,
Rick
*Ours has been popping for the 2 years we've been in the house and shows no sign of stopping. I assume it's expansion/contraction noise.
