Radiant floor heating in Central Texas?

I’m building a bungalow in Central Texas and wondering if radiant floor heating is a reasonable option. Is there anyone out there who has used this technology in a warm climate? Is it practical? Or is it impractical because of the rapid shifts of temperature in this part of the country, i.e., the cold periods don’t last long enough for the benefits to be realized.

Just came back from a waterski show that will air nationwide... To do with the fact that we normally have 2' of ice on the lake by now.
