Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with NuHeat radiant floor mats. http://www.nuheat.com/homeowners/experts.cfm or another brand.
I’m considering installing it on a 350 sq ft concrete slab (on grade) that is 4″ thick and not insulated. Rep says I should lay Wedi board http://www.wedi.de/home_usa/ or Hardi backerboard http://www.jameshardie.com/backerboard/ on the floor then mat then tile.
My concern that since hot goes to cold how much of the heat will be going into the slab? I will not use it to heat the room, just to take the chill out of the tile.

Greetings Mike,
If you scroll down in the lower left corner of your screen there is a search function that will take you to previous threads dealing with whatever you type in the search bar.
I typed in NuHeat and got a good supply of data on the subject.
Cheers
Thanks, what did you enentually install?
I'm going with a wood stove in the basement.
Maybe an outdoor wood furnace later.
cheers.
