Has anyone used the Rainhandler (ad in FineHomebuilding) in lieu of gutters and are they effective?

If you had wide overhangs and the proper ground below they could be effective.
Not right for every house.

I was really close to using them on my own home but the dimensions they give as required as roof shingle overhang and such had me concerned they might not work properly on my home without some modification and the extensions they sell. I then wondered how they would look?
I still may buy one or two sections one time just as a trial to see how they work and look.
