Hello there – we are interested in 3 of these stoves for a new home project. They will be accessory heat sources. We have looked at these because of design (they fit with a modern concept). Does anyone have experience with these stoves? One is quoted much higher than the other (more than 2x) here in Canada. Any feedback would be appreciated with respect to quality of manufacturing, ease of installation, efficiency etc.

We haven't used the Stuv but have nothing but good things to say about the Rais (so long as you don't have a problem with burning short logs. The ones we've used take 12" wood and if you have a delivery of 16" logs as happened with one of our clients it's a pain to have to cut them all in half.

I have always liked the Rais designs.
Heat-N-Glo came out with a model called "Paloma," in gas only, not woodburning, to compete in the market for contemporary looks.
Comes looking like this.

Or done up in cast stone (my favorite for heating), like this.
